Marcel

As a pokerplayer Marcel Luske has had a remarkable career with tournament cashes all over the world. He turned pro ten years ago and within two years became the #1 ranked player in Europe.

Hi to all readers,
With love, passion and great expectations I was traveling to my beloved
city again to chase the dream. The many years of stopping by before and
being around over there are making it feel that it becomes a part of
yourself and I believe starting to know the neighbourhood in terms of how
to handle the Sin City heat and offers most times.

This year it was different. I had a better plan, I was focussed and must
say that it did work out great using the experience and the new kid on the
block system sometimes. Allthough it did not bring me that bracelet.

Staying over there in and at the Bellagio Hotel is not a bad start and
surrounded with the party atmosphere at any time of the day combined with
the summerheat is a constant threat to your plan. So you need to be strong
mindsetted and follow up sticking to that.

Loosing up on this will come with a cost and it can be more than just that
typical hangover the next day or you we all have experianced at some time
and place. So i was more than brave followed a plan and sticked to it
allmost completely. The times that I did still gave in to some slight
changes did make me loose a bit of my focus and I do regret that.
Espessially at this could make the difference between succes and failure
as you never know at that time but can overlook at it at a later stage.

A strong focus is needed during the game to make correct descisions based
on more than knowledge only. Playing automatically pilot is not an option
and a big danger that can set in at any time. The heat and the long
playing hours can and will do that to any of us so be aware!

I played overall quite well but that is fo rthe crowd of poker these days
as they playy all well, I do respect them for that. The so called dead
money around is hard to find in these days and if you’re so full of
yourself thinking like that about others then you get bitten in your own
tail. Better faceing the thruth and prepare for playing your end game
otherwise failure sets in and makes it even worse.

I played 7 events, had fun in satilites alongside with friends and tried
to have always some days of relaxion between events to avoid feeling like
a machine and keep making sure I enjoy playing poker. So I did feel fully
charged with positive energy before the start of any event. Neverless I
was always very well aware from the fact unless you win it, they will
catch you.

I was running into events, the seniors and the main, did not gave me the
satisfaction allthough I had a great time and feeling during that journey.
Getting closer to seal the deal atleast give you a smell from the bracelet
for a moment. Hearing the seremony for some moments far away is called the
Poker Payers Dream and I could even hear the pokersong of mine from years
ago. Or the modern version More Than Just A Game.
